TOPIC: The Woody Allen situation
#110503
The Woody Allen situation 11 Years, 5 Months ago
This has more ramifications than at first appears. I've always felt that the No1 motive for false allegations is REVENGE. Closely followed by a desire for SYMPATHY (the "victim" syndrome - terribly attractive to losers). Then MISUNDERSTANDINGS. and fourthly, CASH.

If these are false allegations by Mia Farrow and her daughter, it is really high profile; I just wish there was a way of proving it one way or the other. Sadly that's part of the problem.

Well in this case the girl's nanny apparently claimed to have been with them all the day Mia and her daughter claimed the incident happened and she hadn't been out her sight for more than 5 minutes, so maybe she'll be able to vouch for him...

It is telling that Mia Farrow describes it as "her truth" (Dylan's) not THE truth, and I wonder why she has been happy to leave her grandchildren with someone she thinks is a child molester for all this time?

the article at SPIKED says it best and the outrageous claim that "you will be believed" and that all who claim to be a 'victim' should automatically deserve sympathy is abhorrent.

If someone claimed a person robbed a bank 30 years or murdered someone and it was their word against the accused they would be laughed out of court.

Exactly. It's very important to get sexual assault allegations when they are fresh aswell, before any evidence dries up, not just DNA or forensic evidence but witnesses etc too.

But Mia did report this straight away and the investigators believed that her daughter had been coached...
