and more, many many more.
They roam the internet inflaming ignorant, naive, curious, spiteful or just plain mad readers with their accusations and insinuations. They feed their readers tortured imaginations that the world is riddled with plots and conspiracies that involve the Tory Party, the Royal Family, Freemasons, Jews/Rothschilds etc etc and so on.
They prop each other up and site each other as sources..or find some obscure reference elsewhere on the net.
The accuse anyone they (dis-)like of child sex assaults...even the dead like Lord McAlpine who take legal action to prove his innocence ( something no-one should ever have to do) are maligned in death. The feelings of the relatives (like those of Jimmy Savile) are never considered.
If these brave keyboard worriers have proof of the numerous allegations they make let them come forward and give them to the police. By not doing so they are committing a crime : concealing a crime.
They are today's equivalent of the Town Gossip, spreading and exagerating lies and falsehoods over the back fence, except their reach is worldwide. They are the publishers of mass Poison pen Letters and boast of it.
They do influence tabloid newspapers desperately trying to scoop their rivals, they do influence police eventually.Look at that Measham character- courts, judges and expensive enquiries found him to be a liar and rogue and all he had to do was lie low for a few years before accusing again.
Few people realise the research that newspapers conduct as to reader's comments- the Daily Mail exploits those comments for good reason : to ascertain reader's interests in order to give them what they want. truth is secondary. All those "pedo rings" comments in the Mail (especially) Mirror. Sun etc are taken note of- we may think they come from nutters but tabloids use them eventually to sell adverts.
## The coming Australian MailOnline have employed a "journalist" from News Corp who recently wrote an article claiming child sex assault victims should never be left with children when they become adults. It took an almighty clamor before that line was removed- mainly from genuine victims who had young families !
They cause millions of pounds to be wasted.
Society once had away of dealing with them for a reason: the Scold's Bridle. Throughout history these rumormongers were treated for exactly what they were- cowardly defamers.
