I would expect made by same maufacturer as the leading brands ... perhaps they put something in it (colourant?) so it does not look quite so nice maybe ?
Offal with pasta? I'll have some of that myself please! Seriously, I've had to take anti-gout pills for 50 years so I can now treat myself to kidneys (love 'em) or liver (delicious)… and every now and then, when in the mood and with onions and mashed potato, baby green peas and a glass of ice cold Sancerre white wine… bliss!
Offal is a real no-no for us gout sufferers (nothing to do with port or fine living; the body just makes too much uric acid which goes into crystals and heads for weak joints in feet or hands). But allopurinol, God bless it, stops it.

They do make very cheap meals, offal costs anything from 60p - £1.20 and pig heart does make a good pasta dish.
Lightly grease an ovenproof casserole dish
Put a layer of onions on the bottom and season to taste.
Add a layer of tomatoes and season to taste.
Toss the sliced liver in seasoned flour and put a layer on top of the tomatoes.
Continue layering with a layer of tomatoes at the top.
Add a blob of butter and cover.
Put into a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 4 (350°F/180C) for about 45 minutes.
Serves 4 - Goes well with any green vegetable and/or chipped or mashed potatoes
I bet Paul thinks your offal recipe is shite, too! Actually - and this is a hell of a link between the two sub-themes of this thread - I was chatting a while ago to the veterinary nurse who used to work where Paul and Linda used to bring in their dogs. She said Paul was always nice and generous, bringing them all presents, whereas Linda used to study the bills and query every single penny. So there you are: dogs and Macca, woven together with Andrew's offal.
