Great star of the 30s and 40s - went on to be a top Ambassador - great early records; interesting that she went for but lost the Judy Garland role in Wizard of Oz. Oh no! I feel quite sad that she has died. I wonder if they will show her old films now? I dont think they have shown them for years, presumably because she runs off with strange men and shows her pants when she tap dances. Oh no, I thought they were lovely. With the exception of "Heidi" which was a horrible monstrosity that ruined the book.
