Well worth buying this week (it's been shit for ages)… including the fabulous line about Marina Hyde's Guardian column, reporting on a news story "refracted through a prism of scorn".

Just bought (not read yet) a fabulous looking compilation of Punch cartoons from the last 50 years - from that marvellous discount bookstore The Works (they are national, aren't they?)

(I turned down the "bargain bin" offering - ie the one no one wants at ANY price!!! - Slimy Jack Straw's biography "Last Man Standing". They can't even shift it at £1.99 !)
