TOPIC: The Mail, Labour and Filthy Paedos

The Mail, Labour and Filthy Paedos 11 Years, 4 Months ago
I wouldn't for a moment wish bad karma on the Mail for protecting numerous staff sex offenders during its long and distinguished existence (they never shopped hacks done for cottaging in the days before the word meant flooded houses) but the interesting karma aspect will kick in regarding its tendency to twist their "news" coverage to suit their policies… most fascinating has been their BBC stories but this anti-Labour "story" might backfire on the dear old paper.

As a Mail reader (and contributor - my first published effort was a letter on their letters page - see the illustration in my book) I would hate to see the paper closed, like the News of the World folded, due to bad karma.

I suspect it will be less the paper than the Editor. If I was Miss Dacre, I'd be shitting myself.

Everybody has a past. Fact

The Mail story has documentary evidence of a 'debate' within its publications regarding PIE members of 'affilates' stating the case to be treated with 'Civil Liberty'...........OK this is the 70's and early 80's.........but the debate in the written pages are archival and historical in their existence just like any great dead PM or leading political figure......just because history prefers hitorians to 'interpret' archives of the dead, shouldn't negate a debate about these archives just because these people are living.............

Savile can't have the debate, he is dead, and many people state that that isn't fair, so by the same token, it needs to be fair thatthis debate is held in the time of the living.

I'd prefer a libel court action if there is libel being commited, the court should be able to decide, but if the haranging at the moment is continued, I don't see the Labour Party ever shaking the 'mud'..............I have read the Mail side of the 'evidence' and it does seem that the debate in the letters or articles pages does support some of the concerns of the PIE people , without actually condoning the practices................but then, thats whatthe Mail want us to see.......100 years from now, what would an historian say ?

to the contrary...the Mail is doing this because it's desperate and the Tories are on the nose (despite ITK's undying loyalty).

If Labour has good policies they will get the votes. If the Mail/Dacre really believe voters will switch off because of some confected 'scandal' from the 70s/80s they are deluding themselves.

This stuff is idiotic..people are worried about mortgages, rent, utility bills. Typical Dacre lunacy.

Horrible paper, silly story, but Harriet Harmon (the kind of politician I really loathe - cynical, self-obsessed, contemptuous of the public and utterly shameless) gave an incredibly stupid response to Newsnight. She is so incapable of even faking contrition (it's her one weakness) she's managed to keep the story going.

She's asked whether it was a mistake. That's a fair enough question, because it was. No disaster, but there it is. But as usual, Harmon replies, 'I think what was right...', smirking with that smug expression that implies, "You didn't see what I did there, did you? I was far too clever for you..." The worst of her kind.

Yes we all seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet here but nobody appears to have noticed the assumption that paedophiles should have no civil liberties.

How DARE this organisation protect such vile creatures?

Whilst we're about it, how about removing human rights from murderers? Oh, forgive me, that's another Mail crusade.

And any other criminal, come to that. NO right to vote or even exist outside prison. Life should mean life. Like Rape is Rape.

What a charmingly simplistic species we have become.

Soon the Mail will crusade - human rights should only apply to human beings - not murderers, terrorists, drug dealers, muggers, buggers, burglars, sex offenders, priests, doctors, foster parents, teachers…

Bring it on, Miss Dacre!

So...everyone reading this is dead. We are 80 years into the future.

An historian finds the NCCL archives and writes a book................

How does history look at this ?

Typical !

Never mind the (endless) list of crimes(*) - blame the messenger !!!!

What else should we expect from Labour, which is, after all, a hotch-potch of weirdo groupings (PIE / lesbian rights / loony Unions / unemployed "workers" groups etc etc etc) that could not stand alone but prop each other up?

EVEN with all these loony groups linked together it STILL took the Tories to equalize gay marriage !!!!

(*) These are only the convicted - how many more waiting to be discovered ????
