I was in HMP Maidstone with Alan; one of many innocent men I met (I also met many guilty ones) suffering from the appalling state of the British Judicial System (specifically, in his case, police behaviour).

I'm delighted to see that, 23 years later (he's still in prison - whole life with tariff of 15 years… another clear illustration of the broken system) he has finally had his wrongful conviction referred to the Court of Appeal.
