Pistorius trial - a revelation 11 Years, 4 Months ago
I'd forgotten how incredibly boring legal trials are. At mine I decided the purpose of the law was to bore everyone into a coma so that verdicts would be given no matter what the evidence, as quickly as possible to end the process.
The picky, silly detail; the obsequious superficial politeness; the repetition; the nagging; the lack of sparkle.
Believe me, standing or sitting in the Old Bailey during a trial is as close as I've ever come to being in Hell, I reckon (always thought purgatory sounds more fun). Hell by suffocating boredom.
