I wouldn't count on it ITK: when the Beeb lost its backbone, part of the deal to let it live was "no JK except in extreme necessity".

That would be a decent title for your new TV series: "JK: In Extreme Necessity".

Actually I think TV is in extreme necessity (agreeing with the thread on Monday TV: I'm watching Hairy Bikers on iPlayer having missed Thursday due to dinner with Fry and Gambo).

One of the many things I like about them is, despite being in the most ghastly Japanese theme restaurant where the food looked, and I'm sure tasted, ghastly, resisted the temptation to use the word ghastly, leaving us to make our own assumptions. They have generous spirits as well as great humour.

Delightful in Tokyo; I'm not a huge Japanese food fan - my favourite Japanese restaurant is in Rabat, Morocco, believe it or not (Rabat, on the Atlantic, has great fresh ocean fish). I do love raw tuna (sushi). See my book Three Months for photos.

They are so adorable in the sumo wrestler sequence - you must catch them on iPlayer!

Who is sumo wrestling,where?
I would pay good money to see Stephen Fry wresting.

Mr King, I am suspicious of the BBC's motive for the interview.
Please be very very careful.

I'd love it if they ended each show with you coming on saying: 'This dish is, of course, best enjoyed with a glass of ICE COLD Pouilly Fumé!'

The Hairy Bikers, Honey. A fantastic sequence in their delightful show. As for the Genesis documentary, it's an independent production for the BBC. Let's see how much the Beeb suggests gets removed in the eventual edit.
