I was there : Great War interviews 11 Years, 4 Months ago
The BBC archive at it's very, very, very best.
The poor Manchester woman talking about her husband, the German describing a bayoneting of a Frenchman........these are real life testimonies of what went on 40 odd years on after the Forst World War
Take this as your history and your datum point. Oh what a lovely war and Blackadder should not be used as teaching aids..............history is not artistic, history is real and verbal and from the mouths of those that were there

We watched Blackadder at school students found it boring, Oh What A lovely War they found it embarrassing. They do make good teaching aids but people are ignorant to appreciate them.
