Not what I would consider good taste ITK. What have you got against the dead? I rather like them and feel inclined to try to defend them, whether they were good or bad when alive, simply because they are not here to defend themselves.

I always thought her food looked delicious.

Agreed, JK ... I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but there are one or two exceptions.

I thought her promotion of blood sports quite repugnant, but what else would you expect from someone so hideously vile?

met them in Sydney at the British High Commissioner's residence. They were picked up in his Rolls and emerged grumbling because the driver had confiscated their cigarettes to stop them burning holes in the upholstery.

Only chattered to Clarisa- absolutely delightful...typical British food had been laid on and as I asked her if she was jet-lagged she spotted a waiter with a tray of mini Pork Pies, called him over and swept the whole lot into her handbag.

I thought their recipes were just wonderful.. I'm amazed she was only 66..thought she was much older.

Perhaps I misread it and they were talking about her weight (66 stone?) ... or perhaps thats how you look when constantly shovelling offal down your face?

I always liked her because her recipes were never stingy. If you are going to have cream it might as well be lashings of it.

But they didnt say what she died of. She was in hospital for a few weeks and they dont hospitalise people for porkiness.
