All police forces are bent to a certain extent - the UK's is less bent than others, but I think they used to be even more bent before the crackdown on the Flying Squad in the 1970's. For once the DM is doing a good job of highlighting their dodgyness and need for accountability.

The DM - like all media - only cares about one thing - is it a good story? They don't care whether they back God or the Devil. And sadly that will be their downfall. He's very tricky, as Sir Bob found out.

Ahhh ... that would be the crackdown AFTER the one in the 1960's (when they were colluding with the Krays and the Richardsons) and BEFORE the crackdown in the 1980's when they were "institutionally racist" and homophobic?

I wonder when we will hear the outcome of Plebgate?
Major terror incidents have been investigated quicker than this !
