another massive waste of public money

Interesting that several "complainants" did not see themselves as victims and didn't believe charges should have been brought.

Why "complain" then ?

Is there more to this than meets the eye?

Were they "invited" to complain (by the police) ?

The CPS and police in the North West seem far too close (for safety) to me.

Newsnight - last night - interviewed one of the complainants.
Quite clear that others were pressured to "come forward" when even they didn't think a crime had been committed.

One even sent text to Evans before trial - wishing him "good luck" !!!

Former shadow home secretary David Davis has called on the Attorney General to launch an urgent review into the way sex offence prosecutions are carried out.

This is now showing the police in a true light. many people who do not see them self as victims being told something like ... (oh dont worry, he will go guilty to get a shorter sentence, you wont even nerd to go to court)
There are a lot of DC"s fighting for promotion.

now on the charges front, the police will make as many charges as they can to get a bigger chance of a conviction, ie, if someone caught with 100 images they will charge you with 100 counts for each one, then normally by time your presented in court the Judge/ Barrister/cps will maybe cut it down to 5 or ten, in levels and taking/making/possestion.

its all a big game for the police to causr as much deverstation as they can so family and friends disown the offender taking away any support ther person really needs at that time.
I am very mindfull of victims here but the police actions in many many sex offence cases need to be looked at, Yewtree being case in point.
