Weren't a lot of things crap back in the seventies: Chopper bikes, spangles, most singles that were in the charts, flares, hammy actors, New Faces, Humphrey Stickers, Ford Cortinas, Seaside Special (especially the episode presented by Cliff Richard in France), Swap Shop, crap haircuts, Dorking High Street...
I still have the "brick" we used to have to carry to make mobile calls, Hedda! And the very first cassette "Walkman" - bought during a trip to Japan; it got amazed stares on my flight back.
My boys were rolling on the floor laughing when they came across mine in the attic, and my bag at the time had a special pocket (halfway to being a whole room) to put it in, as if it could ever be mislaid!

Oh my goodness! I was transfixed for a few minutes watching Seaside special. I dont remember it at all for some reason. Maybe I blocked it?
Cliffy looks as if he is doing an impression of himself, and for those who watch Big Brother (probably just me) one of the enthusiastic dancers is Jackie Travers, who was in last years civilian version with her boring daughter.
I remember my "brick" of a mobile ringing whilst I was walking down the street. I was so embarrassed talking into it I went into a phone box to take the call. Now everybody is walking and talking at the same time!
