Aimed at the lowest intelligence (the ones who always want to blame someone else) -
Years ago they would have "blamed" the Irish, or the Jews, maybe the West Indians or the Asians .... always someone else to blame !

Hardly racist just telling the truth, many jobs manual jobs are done by Eastern Europeans who paid below the min wage, just ask the farmers in Faversham they admit they employ Polish workers as they are on £2.50 per hour 12 hours a day. Friend of my ex was a farmhand on one of the farms, then he was sacked as the farmer wanted cheaper labour.
Tories wanted them Europeans to go home remember that ITK ?

How soon before people complain about rising prices (to fund the wage increases)?
Well should all legal workers in the U.K not be entitled to the same minimum wage for their ability whether their originally from Poland, the Czech Republic or the U.K really?
IF, and I don't know if they still are, so feel free to correct me, but I think it used to be the case that farmers where paid as an incentive to employ people from the Czech Republic over British people, then what would the difference be if they were instead paid to employ a variety of people from all walks of life (provided they are willing and capable to do the work properly of course)?

You post - like so many others - starts with a number of false assumptions.
You ASSUME that these people want a job !
There is no job shortage - there never was.
There are more people - in every category - in employment now than at anytime in the past.
Even during so-called "boom" years, there were always 1,000,000+ "unemployed" (or should that be unemployable?) Why were they not getting jobs then?
Tell me ... how can just sitting at home watching TV and playing video games ever make someone more attractive to an employer?
These people - who are largely unemployable due to their own (in)actions - need to be forced to do something.
Well why not force them (those who are actually willing to do it and would do it properly - and there are plenty who have applied, but those jobs appear to be ear marked for East Europeans at the moment) to do farm work/fruit picking instead of making so much much easier for Eastern Europeans to get those jobs for no other reason than for legal reasons at the moment it works out cheaper for the employer.
Both me and my sister have applied for fruit picking numerous times and been unsuccessful because they get 1000's of applicants and they (at least used to) find it much cheaper to employ Eastern Europeans cos their not required to pay them the minimum wage whether that's because the goverment are allowing them to by making up the difference and the workers still get the same pay as a British person would in the end or not...

When we get to the point where IF they don't work for six hours a day they don't eat tonight, they will learn something (and so will their offspring).
It is very possible that there are lots of people on the dole who are desperate to avoid work because they will be worse off.
We cant all be intelligent and qualified, and the sort of jobs that these people used to do dont seem to be there any more.
What is the point in spending money to keep people on the dole when they could be encouraged (forced) to do the jobs that attract other Europeans?
How do people from other cultures manage on so much less money?
