I am the exception to the rule but am obviously not buying this crap about JS. My earliest recall is a very very hazy memory of my dad opening the garage door to get our white Hillman Hunter out which has to be before I was 3 as it got traded in for a Mini (there are no photo's of it, and I remember the number plate being above the rear bumper due to it having a towbar) - I have no idea why that stayed with me, but it did. (No doubt 'therapists' would queue up to tell me something dreadful must have happened to me in that garage, and build on that). Exceptionally hazy, and probably only remembered due to me being car mad from an early age. I was also pop music mad, and aside from that very hazy sepia-tinted moment my clear memories from before my 4th birthday are few and far between - hearing tunes on the radio and on TOTP are my other recollections, due to music being such a passion. I also remember a brother & sister on a caravan site falsely accusing me of 'nipping them' and the feeling of injustice on being punished for something I didn't do, solely on the basis of two words against one.
From being 4 I have pretty much perfect recall of events, including some things lesser mortals would harbour grudges and 'action' around but we all know this isn't that common.
What the NSPCL are trying to do here is subvert pecks on cheeks as passionate snogs and thus 'sexual assault'. The BBC should not be making NSPCC propaganda, and have just surrendered their right to my portion of the license fee. Educate, inform and entertain? I don't recall the remit being to lie and brainwash....
