Re:3rd Met Police Officer sacked (over Plebgate) 11 Years, 2 Months ago
Rowland cannot bring "charges" - they can only be brought by the DPP.
He is suing for libel (a civil matter) - and guess who is funding him? The Police Federation (the very same organisation whose members, from the West Midlands, were ridiculed by the Commons investigative committee, and who now themselves face disciplinary hearings) !
Even if he did call them Plebs (denied) - that's not an offence !
On the other hand the police LIED, conspired to make-up a story, leaked the story to the press, even fabricated "witnesses" .... resulting (so far) in 3 officers sacked (one of them jailed) with 2 further to face disciplinary hearings.
I think its pretty clear who had an agenda - and who is the guilty party - here !

I think he was treated shockingly by the plods and it shows how emboldened they have become when they set out to destroy the career of a Cabinet Minister.

what chance does someone without power have?
Exactly, hedda
I posted (on another thread) that I expected Cameron to "take on" the police after the next election.
It appears he has already started with the clampdown on "stop and search" - 25% of which (according to Theresa May) is probably illegal.
