Tory debt 11 Years, 2 Months ago
blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2013/1...re-debt-than-labour/

Tories are making mountain out of a mole hill, they want to make a mess for the next party to clean up.

They don't a clue just like Labour didn't.

Servicing Labour's debt 11 Years, 2 Months ago
When the government changes - the previous debt doesn't go away !

We are still left with it.

The following government has to service THAT debt (and pay the enormous interest) AS WELL as trying to stabilise / reduce it in future.

Under the Tories the spending is being (too slowly) brought under control - under Labour it would still be escalating with no hope of ever reigning it in.

Equally, the dolers and scroungers don't just disappear after an election - WE ARE STILL LEFT WITH THEM.

We are still left with ALL of Labour's debt, ALL of the enormous interest (just to service the debt), and ALL the scroungers that Labour encouraged (who ALL still have their hands out).

It will take time ... we've stopped things getting worse, now we have to reduce the drain on resources.

Didn't a certain Mr Christ also encourage people to help themselves and not scrounge on others? (PS - He died in 33AD)

We are always there to help the genuine needy - not to help people foster idleness and deprive the sick of their needs.

Is the British dolers or the Europeans dolers ? Remember people are on the dole no fault of their own ITK, each person has different circumstances.

No he said "The Lord will provide" and that's what the Dept of Social Security was called in those days.

And Britain is a good christian nation carrying on the tradition.

We ALL know what happens to "socialist" states, hedda - their citizens usually starve !

Have you seen the state of Venezuela recently (home until a year ago to the ultra loony Hugo Chavez)?

Rampant inflation / massive unemployment etc etc

You should remember the 10 Commandments, hedda ... the 2 most important of which, in this context, are -

Honour thy father and thy mother - unless you don't know who your father is then also ignore your mother - and distance yourself from her - as she's obviously a harlet.

Thou Shall Not Covet - your neightbour's wife, his ox, his donkey, his BMW, his mansion, or his pension pot. The implication is VERY clear !
