Personal problems... 11 Years, 2 Months ago
Remember I had a flat tyre about 4 weeks ago whilst in the cinema? The AA changed the wheel and I replaced it the next day. So, on Bank Holiday Monday, having driven it for weeks, I took it to be washed and the back tyre was flat. They reinflated it. Yesterday I took it to be changed and sure enough - a slow puncture caused by a similar tack which had clearly remained in the hole allowing only a small amount of air to escape.

Yesterday evening a couple came round and the lady friend must have flushed my downstairs toilet too much. Water overnight caused the heater to short. It took me 20 minutes this morning to track down the cause of the fuse! The entire house was electricity free.

The little dramas of everyday life.

How horrible! But how do you flush too much? You mean put unsuitable things down the toilet?
You need to keep disposal bags and a covered bin in there.

It's a very ancient unit, Honey (I've lived here 48 years) and requires delicate handling that occasional visitors don't always understand! My baby brother - a DIY whizz - will fix it for me.

Apart from deaths, illness etc, the very worst time of my life was when the drains "exploded" and poured sewage all over the garden.
The roses were fabulous next year though.

I am still a bit squeamish about eating the fruit. I tend to give a lot of it away. (I hope my friends dont read this)

How inconvenient for you JK - but I suspect these pall into insignificance
compared with MC's personal problems at present..... wonder if he's had his
first weekly shower yet? - all and sundry will be looking to see which of the
evidence concerning his 'member' was true

The story about the toilet flushing causing an electrical short leaves me in a state of disbelief. How on earth could water from your WC have made its way to the fuse box? I think you need to file that one away in the same box as the story about the car with no carburettor.- remember?

No it trickled down the wall (all mirrors) and shorted the socket underneath it.
