Stephen Sutton .... 11 Years, 2 Months ago
... has passed away, aged 19

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-27408818

He did so much in his short life, and is a credit to his family and friends.

What an example for the young of today to follow.

RIP.

They just can't help it, JK

Good to see that the nastier ones are being jailed (they are too dim to realise they can be traced throught their IP adresses !) - but most are just sad little people who probably have no life (lavatory attendants?) or friends.

I knew a lavatory attendant in a club who had a very interesting life. He was studying medicine and selling sandwiches by day, and toilet attending by night and sending money home to Nigeria.

A terrific young man, not only illustrating decency of spirit and optimism (a vastly under rated quality) but also one of the good aspects of new media - and there are many. I would not have been able to put my point of view across, let alone make movies, music and write books, since the traditional media censorship, if it were not for the Internet.

Did he say what sandwiches he sells and where ? ITK you want people to work then you putting them down further by piss taking about their jobs, I did office cleaning for a year it was not great but paid well, Tories just can't help taking piss of the lower classes.

Yes. He took them into offices at lunchtime. Biscuits and cake too.

I agree about it being unfair to mock the type of job someone has. We cant all be intellectual, and I think part of the problem is that people have unrealistic expectations of work, and are ashamed to take manual jobs such as cleaning or working in McDonalds because of sniffy attitudes.
Also, (while I am having a rant) why is it ok to make fun of people who are thick? they cant help it any more than if they had no arms or legs.
as long as people do their best, that is all that matters.

And actually... (I cant stop myself now) Isn't it exactly the same to say "all Tories this and that" and "all unemployed dolers this and that" ?

Agree entirely, honey!

I could do without politicians for months at a time but take away the sewage workers and we'd all be in the .....

Seriously, you are quite right. A good job done is a good job done ! Everyone wants instant "fame" these days - no putting in the hard work .... and similarly everyone wants to start on £35K even though they haven't a single qualification (and want to turn up for the interview as a brain surgeon with their staffie!).

My GCSE's are B to C grade, I never worked more than 13k a year. I tried working in McDonald's my applications are always rejected, I done about 23 applications for them in the last 4 years.
