arrived at Parliament yesterday in chauffered Rolls blaring Van Morrison..when questioned on music taste said :"love Van Morrison- you'll hear him played in retirement homes everywhere in 20 years"

ridiculing ruling Abbott government (now on 40% with Opposition Labor on 60%)for screeching "budget crisis" by pointing out (as Hedda frequently does) , debt is entirely OK if serviceable- as it is in Oz as lowest per GDP in West world, and indeed that is how he became a billionaire.

Rather than attack refugees and foreigners he says "fly them here and house them, don't make them take leaky boats..they'll be forever grateful and become great citizens"...increase pensions, increase dole etc"

Now under attack by Rupert Murdoch's Nazi style propaganda sheets...Rupert just got a $900M tax payout- not money he ever paid in-via complicated tax haven deals... one reason the budget has been stretched.
