Good to see the house prices holding up - they always will in places where people WANT to live

Significantly, the premium is over properties 'in the surrounding area'

The Belgravia/Grosvenor/Park Lane premiums run to the high hundreds of percent

Just like in Manhattan

Funny how stating the obvious is dressed up as "research" these days.

Nice to know the rich can afford to live away from those poor immigrants

ITK is your typical out of touch Tory, the only immigrants he sees are on TV.

Our local Tory MP is corrupt bit like Dick Jones.

... and in the local hospital (which would shut down - as would the rest of the NHS - without them).

if that was the "scenery" they paid over 100 grand to view I'll stick with Bondi Beach and the spew covered (UK Backpackers) streets of Kings Cross.

The problem is of course who are your neighbours ?? I'd never name names (ITK) but there would be some intensely boring dudes staring at that lake along with you as you had your morning cuppa.

Lakes in the magnificent New Forest?

NO - only a few ponds.

And lovely wild and friendly ponies....

One doesn't like to be pedantic here but not only is the lake referred to by Hedda not in the Peak District as ITK says but it isn't in fact a lake. It's the river Beaulieu in the New Forest. I know it. I've canoed down it

very pretty but masses of room to put a Westfield there. And don't get me started on those beautiful blue skies with fluffy white clouds. Bet the photographer sat there all year waiting for that perfect day.

... and not a peasant (er, sorry, pheasant) in sight !

Meadowhall - much better than any Westfield - is only about 40 mins away. Westfield in Derby has been sold - its now called something like Itsus (or is it Intu?).

Mrs ITK has suggested a visit this weekend to start the Christmas shopping - OMG !

Its the Ladybower Reservoir - which drowned the villages of Ashopton and Derwent; although the bell from Derwent's church can still be heard in Derbyshire.
