Labour to dump Silliband after next election ? 10 Years, 9 Months ago
Ed Miliband’s plan for a “crude” mansion tax came under attack from Labour grandees yesterday as prominent figures from across the party piled into his election strategy.

With a new opinion poll putting the Tories two points ahead of Labour, senior voices broke ranks to raise concerns over leadership and direction.

Too late to drop him now (but they wish they could !)

With ONLY 211 days to the next election they are trying to convince the electorate (stop laughing !!!!!) that they are competent to form the next government !

Hardly shows any competence when you have to admit you chose the wrong leader and it took you about four years to realise it !

Well the sooner they ditch him the better. They might just as well pull out of the election because nobody will ever vote for him. He is a liability and if he had any respect for the party he would resign.
(mind you, we saw his morals when he trampled over his brother!)

I despair of the Labour Party these days. Miliband is the worst leader I can remember, an absolute disaster. Balls, well, it's had to believe he's an adult, yet alone someone who is supposed to understand political economy. Then there's that horrendous, amoral, cynical relic Harriet Harman. And what of the relatively new blood? A woefully out-of-his-depth lisping, languid, lolloping would-be posh pretty boy Tristram Hunt (an unpursued escapee, surely, from an episode of Ripping Yarns) and the most chillingly robotic politician I've ever seen, Chuka Ummuna (who looks as if he ought to be pursuing humans on the set of Westworld). They might as well let the unions resume control of the party - at least then it might have some purpose, and a few MPs who actually have some authentic connection with ordinary people.

The rumours have started, honey!

Andy Burnham is preparing a bid for the leadership if (when !) Silliband fails (in 209 days time)

BUT ... other rumours say a faction is trying to persuade former Home Secretary 'smiling' Alan Johnston to "oust" Silliband right now (I suppose they are working on the principle that someone who smiles and does nothing else may be slightly more palatable to the electorate than someone who talks through his nose?)!

I'm one of those who has always felt Alan Johnson would have been a far better leader than Gordon Brown - let alone all the others.

I think Alan Johnston should take over today. Milliband will be forgotten by Monday.
