A man of influence 10 Years, 9 Months ago
How does someone with this modest background become so apparently influential in policing, justice and the media?

This year’s Policing Fringe will hear from some of the most influential figures in the sector:

Steve White, Chair of the Police Federation of England and Wales
Sir Hugh Orde, President of Association of Chief Police Officers
Irene Curtis, Police Superintendents’ Association of England and Wales
Mark Williams-Thomas, Criminologist (Chair)

alongside the director of public prosecutions
has a very close working relationship with UK and International law enforcement agencies
features regularly on all the TV channels in the UK and overseas (including Sky, BBC, ITV, C4, Five, GMTV, NBC and CNN)

Pre-Savile (pre-2012) journalism experience: presented 2 documentaries (cf. advisor to 46 police dramas)
"an ex-Surrey Police Constable" (Surrey Police, 2013)

bizarre that those who have genuine credentials put themselves at serious risk of damaging their own reputations.

He isn't a Jim Gamble who had an extensive career in the police as a senior cop and then at CEOP.

MWT falsifies or exaggerates his credentials and his only real claim to fame is a dodgy TV show Exposure ( read the latest Moor Larkin's take on that show as he exposes more tabloid hogwash.

I've always said- a car crash waiting to happen but perhaps it says more about those who are currently in senior policing positions.

I think MWT is more influential on manipulating media than anything else. Which, he brightly realised twenty years ago, does control everything else. But I suspect he hasn't quite grasped that this is a two edged sword.

Somebody has upset The Great Deceiver today.
I wonder who he's referring to.
