..the Daily Mirror conducted an online reader poll alongside a story about the main activist who started the help network, Ian Josephs, the millionaire British businessman in Monaco. The poll asked the question of whether it was right or wrong to advise pregnant mothers to flee Britain. One would think that such an apparently loaded question would encourage most to vote that it was wrong to give such advice.

The result was an emphatic "Yes" in favour of encouraging flight. This was the first indication of what the British public was beginning to believe...The key question was “Why is this happening in Great Britain only?”

The establishment response was that Britain has the most robust child protection system in Europe. The activists’ response was “Great Britain is the only country in Europe from which families are fleeing.”
