TOPIC: Well done UKIP

Well done UKIP 10 Years, 9 Months ago
but don't hold your breath. By elections are very different from general elections - as I found out as an Independent Royalist candidate after winning 2350 votes in Epsom and Ewell, only to watch them disappear in Barnes.

Farage speaks very well (on BBC Brekkie) and he's right that people want change. I suspect, however, that in the General Election they will decide they don't want UKIP type change and plump for the Lib Dems to balance the two extremes rather than UKIP to increase one over the other.

This dumbed-down world of 'Heroes' and 'Monsters' is reflected in the two main political parties.

The Tories are the "Nasty" Party overseeing the (pre-planned) austerity and wholesale destruction of the Rule Of Law (started of course by 'The Nice Party') and Labour are the "Nice" Party, there in reserve (they think) for "better times"

Labour won't get in as there's plenty more "nastiness" to be meted out, and their choice of leader (deliberately arranged so) means they are deliberately unelectable.
All actors in this soap opera will get their contractual reward when they show is over.

they are rising and will plummet just as loopy Pauline Hanson (who frightened me by flirting with me) did in Australia on virtually similar policies.

What is fascinating about the UK is the alarmingly low turnout of voters- it seems nearly everyone elected there is now done so on a minority. Overwhelmingly it's clear that whoever wins, the majority either don't want them or are disinterested.

The results with preferential & compulsory voting are so much more accurate.

and : this is a party with now just one MP (who cannot deliver anything for his electorate)but garners a huge swag of the media way out of proportion - again demonstrating that the meejah is all powerful.

I think elections should be run X-Factor style with telephone voting & perhaps big instant prizes to encourage people to ring in.

Good point Hedda - 36% turnout in Heywood? Essentially nobody gives a shit. And what a wanker Grant Shapps is.

'Labour leader Ed Miliband today sought to rescue his crisis-hit leadership with a fresh promise of an immigration crackdown, after UKIP also came within 617 votes of winning the safe Labour seat of Heywood and Middleton on Thursday night. '

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2789767...ests-come-place.html

One thing that wasn't mentioned was that the official opposition party almost lost a safe seat to a party that was nowhere at the last general election.

UKIP up to 18%

............. and will be nowhere at the next election !

The loonies always come out at by-elections - and the public know its safe to "let off steam" knowing they can revert (when it matters) and no harm can be done in the meantime !
