I loathe politicians and their cunning wording. On bail she will say more than 28 days bail should be only "in exceptional circumstances". Which, of course, will mean police will explain there are nearly always "exceptional circumstances" (in Gambo's case they had to fly all over the world - for no good reason, rather like DI Marjoram's freebie trip to Sri Lanka to investigate Matthew Kelly).

And, if they can't use "exceptional circumstances", they will simply NOT grant police bail but remand the suspect in custody (far worse).
