He wasn't picked because he was too good? And he seemed so keen.

It's interesting that someone with integrity would feel the need to point it up.

What would we do without him?

"I might know where to look & find too much out"

The dafty has just reminded us that he sat around downstairs doing nothing much while poor Tia Sharp was concealed in the attic.
I wish he would stop boasting. It is very insensitive, hinders his cause, and comes across as too needy.

A poet in the Stanley Unwin tradition perhaps?
Would explain his own woeful take on the English Language ('words of advise' anyone?)

With a tweet for every CSA-related story, what are we to make of the avoidance of the Savile fraud stories? Instead, there's this:

Surely anyone with an interest in truth and justice for genuine victims, as opposed to frauds seeking to exploit the situation, cannot afford to ignore anything that could undermine that.

Does the man think, he is a poet ?

the man really is a goose. All Inquries have investigators but they are never part of the board for obvious reasons they must remain impartial.

he really is an amateur who has had remarkable good luck.

just another confirmation : accident-waiting-to-happen

Have just been looking at the revamped website and wondering how anyone can write such an in-depth treatise on the abolition of the death penalty and decide to "sit on the fence".

Ask a sensible question and...

"Do you think it would be more sensible to recruit someone outside the UK? A Canadian Judge, for example."

"no - we have the skills here . Would be a dangerous thing to do as they would have no idea of our systems or process"

twitter.com/mwilliamsthomas/status/535533883203543040

That would be risky, wouldn't it?!

Pity the foreign media don't seem interested. This seems to be a rare example of bafflement that hasn't developed into anything else:

The twitter feed seems to be a mixture of tweets about child abuse, rape and murder and tweets which show a deeply pleasant and caring side, e.g. expressions of condolence for strangers in the news, thoughts about the preciousness of life, pet photos.

He comes across as an all-round good guy whose heart of gold will not be tarnished by rummaging around in the bottom drawer of human behaviour.
