'Non-EU migrants' Mr Know...EU migration is looked at as a whole,it could be vastly improved if we only took the ones we needed...and sent back gypos and Romanian beggars etc...save red Ed tuppence as well

Oh yes, Patt; I think we should have joined the Euro at the start - and backed and supported Greece and Spain and the weaker currencies. That's what being in Europe should be all about.

'My own natural suspiciousness is increased because one of the two authors of the report is Professor Christian Dustmann, the other being Dr Tommaso Frattini. I know nothing of Dr Frattini, but Professor Dustmann has form.
In 2003, he was the lead author of a report for the Home Office which predicted that, after eight East European countries joined the EU in 2004, the level of immigration into this country would increase by between 5,000 and 13,000 a year.
This proved to be the one of the most idiotic forecasts ever made. Within five years, more than a million East Europeans (more than half of them Poles) had arrived, an annual average of 200,000 — many times the original estimate.
We all make mistakes, but this one was a whopper. Many of us would have been floored, and possibly considered slipping away in shame to New Zealand.'

Immigration doesn't seem to have done the USA any harm (and can there be a country which has had more immigrants over the years?)

What a selfish attitude .... they contribute nothing yet are the first to complain (even though the evidence shows that MOST immigrants come here to work and contribute).

Actually many good Americans have been complaining about excess immigration for years.

The American population was 200 million in the 60s,today it's over 300 million...do the maths,how is overcrowding affecting us already?...and of course JK and ITK benefit from cheap labour to keep the cost of their meals out and shopping down...typical,the ones spouting their mouths off are the ones gaining the benefit,while us working age people have to put up with driven down wages,and inflated rents etc....oh and the extra crime the gypos bring with them...ok for those who do not have to live next door....but a disaster for those who do...and those whose kids suffer because of the resources wasted in the schools looking after non English speaking pupils etc that comes out of our education budget....
