63% say immigration GOOD for UK (only 1% say not) 10 Years, 8 Months ago
according to the CBI -

First, the UK's membership of a reformed European Union is overwhelmingly in our national interest.
Eight out of 10 CBI members, large and small, would vote to stay in the EU in a referendum.

Second, 63% of CBI members say that immigration has been beneficial to their businesses; only 1% say it has been negative. The economic evidence shows that immigration is of net benefit.

Finally, falling real wages a price worth paying to preserve jobs during and after the recession.

Typical loony Labour thinking !

Ignore the debt ... don't open the debt collector's envelopes .... it will all go away !

Keep calm ... and spend, spend, spend !

Ignore the fact that hundreds of thousands cannot afford their mortgages (even at 0 interest !) and that many face eviction ! spend, spend, spend !

If we get a bit short, there's always E-Z-Dosh (at only 798% APR !)

spend, spend, spend !

Yes, Cameron and Clegg are good at that.

The National Debt is now £1.5 trillion.

Twice what it was when these chaps came in.

Only four years ago.

An unprecedented rise....

slavery was one of several factors that led to the downfall of Rome.
Increased slavery took the jobs of the lower orders and middle class and they couldn't buy things..made them ripe for revolt.

Hedda is correct - this link may prove educational:-

www.history.com/news/history-lists/8-reasons-why-rome-fell

Reason 2 covers slaves and the well known economic problems - and it is noteworthy that the Romans had many of the same problems that we still have today.

For instance:-

- government corruption

- breaching of borders

- loss of traditional values

Is a typo as bad as a totally erroneous comment - which clearly illustrates your complete and utter inability to comprehend why the Roman Empire fell?

For Miliband and his increasingly jittery party, things have gone from bad to worse, with 63% of those surveyed now rating him as performing badly; just 21% see him as doing well. At a time when he has been facing calls to go, this gives him a new record low net score of -42, which is three points worse than the previous record low of -39 that he scored in June.

www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/nov/10...riticism-ed-miliband

Labour also dropped three points this month (same poll) - which now puts them only 1% ahead.
That will easily be wiped-out at the election.

Remember UKIP want immigration but they want to control it, something Tories promised and failed to do.

Bookies - the most accurate pollsters... 10 Years, 8 Months ago
To my cost, I have learned never to bet against the bookies - as they are rarely too far out. The odds - for the most seats - in the next General Election are:-

Labour - 8/11

Conservatives - evens

UKIP - 40/1

So, a marginal win for Labour is on the cards.
