UKIP - ignore them at your peril.... 10 Years, 8 Months ago
Sky News says that - taking the current polls into account - the Conservatives could lose 100 seats; they suggest that the ratings would give the following seats:-

Labour 253

Conservative 187

UKIP 128

Lib Dems 11

Others 71

However, a poll for the Sunday Times gives UKIP 25 seats.

But there is little doubt that the UKIP efect will be significant and unprecedented in UK politics.

Funnily enough I reckon UKIP will have difficulty holding on to half a dozen seats at the General Election (this comes from someone who got the biggest by-election vote in history as a non special issue candidate). General Elections tend to reflect different voting motivations.

You may well be right.

But, at least, the UKIP factor will make things more interesting!

Nobody really knows Mr King...but wearing a multi coloured wig does not necessarily make you an experienced political commentator

Ukip have scored well at BOTH recent Euro elections -- and then collapsed at the following General Election.

Voters can "protest" (when it does not matter) - but return to safe ground when it does.

They could well win Thursday; Farage will win a seat; that's three already. A couple more Tories and a Labour before May?

Both points are correct

Farage is bright - Dulwich College etc

1/40+ to win on Thursday
