You are quite right, hedda (but then you always are when you follow MY lead).

The system doesn't allow politicians to think ahead - all they are interested in, is getting re-elected in five years time.

There are numerous areas where this is obvious .... but politicians don't want to suggest forking out now for something we may only see the benefit of in many years to come.
