Leaving my favourite coffee shop yesterday in Surry Hills Sydney I step onto the road and almost get skittled by a fast moving convoy of cars..it was one of the dozen police outriders who blasted his horn at me that almost gave me a heart attack.

Seems the 20 car cavalcade chose tiny back streets to whisk Angela Merkel from the airport into the city.

This statement from a speech she gave that night:

are politicians living in an alternative reality ? invading and blowing apart Iraq & Afghanistan, assisting in the demolition of Libya now a seething mess of murderous factions as is Syria?

Germany as part of NATO promised Russia it would make no more advances towards them- instead they have surrounded Russia with bases & weapons
