This kind of thing is more and more frequent on Live TV these days. It personifies the collapse of concentration on detail in society today. Not as serious as police deliberately ignoring defence facts while investigating but exactly the same superficial flaw in today's society.

JK (as ever) ignores the mere 'fact'.

That 'society' is not all-Anglo, but includes the pro-social 400 million modern-EU 'society', where such public daily dysfunction is rare.

It's very true. Sometimes I look up and wonder if anyone is actually directing the news at all - a few days ago they had a reporter staring blankly at the camera, and an interviewee via a feed staring blankly at the camera, and the silence went on for ages, and I just thought: surely SOMEONE has noticed this by now, but no! There's no technical excuse for cock-ups that go on that long.
