The BBC show following Marr has Sian Williams virtually silent whilst introducing the guests; microphone not on; ten seconds before it's sorted. This kind of thing is more and more frequent on Live TV these days. It personifies the collapse of concentration on detail in society today. Not as serious as police deliberately ignoring defence facts while investigating but exactly the same superficial flaw in today's society.

Getting off a bus is impossible these days as the standing passengers are to busy on their phone then notice passengers who actually want to get off. They always look puzzled when people are telling them to move out the way.
I do fear for the future generations when conversations be dead, more sloppy English and more arrogance.

It's very true. Sometimes I look up and wonder if anyone is actually directing the news at all - a few days ago they had a reporter staring blankly at the camera, and an interviewee via a feed staring blankly at the camera, and the silence went on for ages, and I just thought: surely SOMEONE has noticed this by now, but no! There's no technical excuse for cock-ups that go on that long.
