love Christmas markets ! 10 Years, 8 Months ago
... they just get me in the mood.

Did Manchester on Saturday and there are loads of others. Birmingham / York / Worcester / Lincoln etc

Rarely buy anything - leave all that to Mrs ITK ! - but nice atmosphere, and everyone in a good mood.

ITK loves these completely fabricated seasonal scams to get us to spend money.

Mrs ITK clearly goes shopping all the time to get away from him.

Yes, a German phrase book - would be helpful!

Its the Frankfurt Christmas Market (in Birmingham).

One of the biggest and best in the UK with excellent German and British produce - in separate areas. Pity you don't buy anything.

Try a weissbeer, if you can find someone to pay for it....

rare, different and unusual pastimes.... 10 Years, 8 Months ago
Those having a penchant for attending Christmas Markets with the decision - not to buy anything - already made, takes away a lot of the fun.

And is unusual, obviously.

Why go to a match, without watching - or to a play without listening? Or into the English countryside without seeing the bats, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and owls.

Markets can have rare and unique merchandise, well worth a regular visit: Christmas Markets now have to have a theme - and a few bars.

If it was that unusual to go to markets or shops without buying the phrase "window shopping" would never have come about.

Not everyone can afford to buy all the time, or wants to fill the house with "stuff" but you can still enjoy the experience.

One of those (pastimes) is - saying you're off to Dubai, Vietnam or Margate, on business

Some folks like to say whatever

But Patt has a pastime, here - and maybe in Ramsgate?

The Jews in America have the right idea - they go to a Chinese then go to the cinema.

Ye could simply ask JK if my posts have an ISP from different areas when abroad, quite simple, and of course would make you look less silly when making allegations....love to your white badger..
...Ramsgate has a nice harbour cafe, but not used by myself now...they switched to those awful Linconshire sausages!!!

Exactly, honey!

Perhaps I should have said that I don;t go to buy anything specific, but if something catches my eye I borrow my credit card (from Mrs ITK) and buy it ! (Those who only get pocket money will not understand !)

Thankfully - credit or cards to obtain it, were never required by some of us.

Our nation(s) has been seriously affected by those with the plastic need.

Cash or debit cards (spontaneous payment) are the only future.
