TOPIC: New child abuse database
#124610

New child abuse database 10 Years, 7 Months ago
The police are about to launch a database containing millions of child abuse images and videos
www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-30175102

Am I the only one to think that collecting all this material together and networking it to police stations around the country runs the risk that someone is likely to hack into the system and download the images. Wonder if MWT will have his own personal login to the database?

this will upset MWT who had plans to set up his own 'hubs' of pedo image hunters.

you are correct to say that hacking is a major issue : the internet & computers are a unique situation. Unlike highly complex things like say, a Bentley that is difficult to re-produce (unless you have a Chinese factory with 10,000 workers & unlimited funds) basically any 18 year old in Belarus or Tokyo or Alice Springs can be as clever as the Met or FBI's smartest techie.

thus Anonymous is so successful and can hack any system anywhere and it's a bunch of amateurs in their living room.

my nephew worked at a credit agency for years..credit card fraud is about 10 times what they say ( but profits are immense so it covers it)and with the internet fraud is so out of control they cannot keep up ...1000s of young teens are whizz kids particularly in Russia and Asia.

Image the embarrassment when the police arrest someone for possessing a large quantity of child abuse images, only to find that all the images were obtained from their own database.

So how does this new image finder protect children? It does not, it just finds the same ole images and cats them 1-5 and another person arrested for same ole images.
How about working out how to block all lnown ones?
arrests for images will be up and in court quicker and sentences will get lower as I doubt a new prison can be built for the hundreds of thousands of downloaders in the UK.
Oh snd it also finds new images, but so does mwt

ITK is of royal blood...just ask Mr Icke....reptile lineage et al....could explain a few bits...like the fish in his piece!

Not sure about the tweaking...leave that to Mrs ITK!

Policewoman outside court following the Ray Teret verdict, responding to queries as to whether there are any other victims out there: 'It's difficult to say, but I'm almost certain that it's highly probable'. This is more than three centuries since the Age of Reason began.
