Just a mini post on politics, but not really political. Have you noticed the leaders' attitude to their own creeping short-sightedness? Cameron holds his glasses in his sweaty hand in the Commons, slipping them on to read something and then hurriedly slipping them back off again. Clegg today has his glasses hanging from his suit pocket, in classic Liberal style both acknowledging the need for something unwelcome but doggedly trying to go on doing without it. And Miliband hides his under the despatch box, clawing them out reluctantly at moments of myopic desperation. It's a sign of how infantile their view of the public is: wear specs and we'll lose votes. I'd advise them to either come out of the closet and wear their specs loud and proud, or buy some contact lenses and be done with it!

They're only needed for reading, and just get in the way when you're not...nothing strange in that.

That's great. You know, given your tendency to spout infantile political views and stupid prejudices, mixed up with tiresome wind-up merchant posts, it's so easy to overlook your remarkable ability to state the bleeding obvious. So well done.
