I can't always reach the top shelf in supermarkets so I have stand the bottom shelf, sometimes I have to lower my self down to use a cash machine which is annoying, when I use to buy porn mags I had get on tip-toe, still had to stretch my arms and fingers before I even purchased the mag.

Oh for goodness sake! She was only "humiliated" because she jolly well wanted to be. Why couldn't she just laugh it off like anyone else would?
The post office staff could have just left her with no access, but instead tried to help and were slated for "humiliating" her.
I expect they wont bother trying to help next time.
Couldn't she have just brought it to their attention instead of suing them?
I am all for supporting people with extra needs, but you cant cater for everybody and sometimes people have to accept that there are some things they might miss out on. Life isn't fair for anybody.

I agree also Honey, writing a letter senior management would of been better and also what about people who can't reach the top shelf, those who too disabled to reach the bottom shelf ?

Perhaps we should put ALL things at ground level - and inconvenience everyone just to cater for the few ?
(and don't forget to give them all Gold medals for being "atheletes" lol !)
Actually a very topical Fern interview with Tanni Grey-Thompson on BBC1 at this moment; well worth watching on iPlayer. When she couldn't get onto the Uni track, she didn't moan about access - she trained on the road.
