RVW's home - Leigh Hill Place - is now a National Trust property, and open to the public.

In one of the finest parts of Britain, yet less than 20 miles from Piccadilly Circus.

Every year his music plays on, at an event in Dorking - where he was a well known and benevolent character.

On the LHP tour, Virginia McKenna gives the recorded talk - a nearby resident.

I went to Leith Hill Place many times when young. Just round the corner from us.

And the last time I was in the little church in Forest Green was for my Mum's memorial service 7 years ago. After which we all repaired to the delightful Parrot once owned by Procul Harum.

..and there was I thinking he came from Gloucestershire - related to the Wedgewoods and thus the Darwins. I listen to him quite a lot.

He was born in Gloucestershire - but left there after his father's death - when aged 3/4.

For Leith Hill Place, owned by the Wedgwood family - his mother's.
