www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2876982...operties-3-2010.html

'Migrants given one in ten council homes: Number of foreign tenants living in local'

I know lots of local people desperate for decent housing....and have been waiting years for a council place.

I am not sure that "members of the Armed Forces" should jump the queue either!

No Honey, they're too busy jumping out of the way of the bombs and bullets in the countries we send them to on our behalf to have any time to be at home queue jumping ...

No, but I imagine it would make me better prepared for being homeless than a small child, who they might take the place of.
Our soldiers do a wonderful job, but presumably because they are good people, not because they require adulation and special treatment.

I know a disabled couple who have been waiting 4 years to get a council flat Thanet District Council always say to them there are no places maybe house the British first then Europeans.

Do you think a British immigrant who goes to Poland or Romania to live would get a house straight away ?

Highly selective - and loaded ! - post there, Pat !

Did you see the report that 4 out of 5 new nurses are migrants ?

Don't you agree that those who are keeping our health service going should be TOP of the list ?

People in essential services should be allocated specific housing, but I think it should be separate from council stock.

And my sister who is a midwife said 4 out of 5 babies she delivers are from parents who are illegal immigrants, Roma, Polish backgrounds.

But we know you love supporting the doler immigrants and their thousands offspring but some reason you dread supporting the British.

No more politics on this thread.

There's plenty of 'in house' nursing accommodation ITK....the problem is how the NHS manages to give a lot of it away to managers et al....remember I had 5 years running a nursing agency, dealing with all 3 branches of the NHS...run by inefficient and pompous prats mainly....free care is what we need....the NHS structure is a mess, badly created, badly managed...and completely misunderstood...complete privatisation, and insurance based like in Europe is what is needed...then pay for those on benefits who cannot afford it as a top up.

ITK would get a house in Poland or in Romania as he loves the immigrants also I wonder if they repaired his roof for £30.

Remember he hates British dolers.

I think this illustrates the problem of society today; people only seem to see one extreme or the other. I think ITK and most on this board HATE dolers who rip off the benefits system and don't try to work and LOVE immigrants who come here and are useful or contribute or don't rip off the system.

Which, surely, are most people? I'm sure most "dolers" need help and get it correctly. The villains are the exceptions but have a high profile as they are GOOD STORIES. Likewise most immigrants are not criminals or rip offs and get on fine with virtually everyone but the few bad apples are the GOOD STORIES.

That is the problem.

A lot of things Dave promised, that were not delivered...including cutting immigration, favouring locals on housing waiting lists...oh and remember the 'Fuel tax regulator' he taunted Labour with in the run up to the last election?
Not that Milliband will be any better, surrounded by PCs who possibly never did an honest day of toil in their lives...Clegg who's so out of touch 'Wipeout' is his theme tune....I wonder who is filling the gap?

Keep recordings of him and report him to the council and remember consideration for other people no longer exists.

Maybe he is pissed off that ITK's government don't give him enough dole or that he knows Pattaya is a porn star.
