It's confirmed now that, around 13 hours after last contact with flight QZ 8501, Indonesia's air search has been suspended for the night because of poor visibility and bad weather. There is still no confirmation of what happened to the plane. The pilot had asked to change course to avoid storms but made no distress call.

All starting to sound very familiar ?

Not really - about half them were one Indonesian family who were (unknown to themselves - because they failed to check their emails) transferred to another Air Asia flight.

Luckily for them.

The news stated the obvious that the plan landed in the sea.

They also said wreckage had been found .... then discounted it !

All starting to sound very familiar ?

Perhaps they should start searching off Australia (lol !)

They said there was a oil spill then search called off and Air Asia are milking it from insurance claims, then there was a incident with Virgin Atlantic earlier and a fire a cruise ship.

Obviously there is some conspiracy going on.

This huge tragedy - with the probable loss of 162 lives - is not a subject for humour.

Or indeed, any of the many disasters that have happened recently.

Looks like they have found (bits of) the plane now, andrew.

The moral?
Don't fly anywhere near (or over) Indonesia.

Why ever not?

This is the airline's first ever accident/incident - on a maintained (serviced last in November) and relatively new aircraft.

Many larger airlines in the West have safety records which merit a lot more scrutiny and attention.
