From my experience foreign nurses are unapproachable and when my ex was in hospital they were talking Punjabi in the room she was in. She caught E-Coli from a operation she only had appendix removed but she was in hospital for 3 months and a month in ITU. Whenever nurses were all around her she found it frustrating and distressing there were not talking to her in English.
NHS hospital are dirty and below standards the food is appalling we spend billions each year on the NHS and still nothing improves, so yes funding should stop if you want use the hospitals then we should what the Yanks do.
I'm sure the media have twisted Nigel words again that nurses should speak English at all times when appropriate.
