Great Minds meet to solve shocking problem 10 Years, 6 Months ago
Surely this is a Private Eye piece? Or is April 1st?

East 17’s Brian Harvey Is Carrying Out His Own Inquiry Into Child Abuse

The “Stay Another Day” star visited parliament to discuss his findings with Labour MP Simon Danczuk. He feels “passionately” about protecting children.

Well at least he will not get kids throwing themselves on him,as no doubt they would have done twenty years ago.

odd you should post that Jo & mention in my other (brilliant) thread on treason the manner of some of accusers.

I watched this bloke who (foolishly) secret recording of police interviewing him and he seems at times verging on hysterical happiness and hardly gives the cops a look-in.

Other insanity claim : claims the politician he accuses is guilty because he hasn't sued him for libel but then claims McAlpine is guilty because he sued to shut people up.

As JK says..no-one including police seem to factor in the state of mind of many complainants

It doesn't really fit with being a victim, does it? Nor does doing media interviews after saying you've always been too scared to come forward, which is what a lot of these celeb accusers seem to be doing. The idea of feeling shame never seems to feature, but shame is probably quite difficult to do convincingly. It's probably easier to turn your mouth down at the corners, do a quaky voice and try for tears while counting on your interviewer wanting to believe you and be sensitive. What seems strange with some of these middle-aged people coming forward about allegedly being groped years ago, is how upset they give the appearance of being. There was a young woman on the news recently who had escaped Isis after being enslaved by the,, and she seemed very composed, despite apparently having experienced much worse recently. But she probably wasn't trying to convince.

I am sure that there are blaggers at work in this, possibly even people with records for fraud. If some people, maybe lots of them, are prepared to commit benefit fraud or make false insurance claims, they could also be quite prepared to make false claims about abuse. They'd have willing listeners, people who wanted to believe them, or at least not disbelieve them, be guaranted sympathy and praise for their bravery and be able to present themselves as being selfless and helping others by speaking out. Those prepared to spin a story for money would have nothing to lose. They might even be able to sell their story to the media and go to court and secure a conviction, then go for a compo claim.

What I can't understand is the level of disingenuousness this must require from those who come across liars in their work, like the police and lawyers, and who must surely know the signs and have ways of separating the sheep from the goats.
