She recalled also having seen Mr Gadd's fellow glam rocker, Alvin Stardust, at the address.

How convenient that he is dead but it looks like maybe they are trying to drag him into it.

I wonder when Jimmy Savile will turn up.

That gives the game away then - fantasist (see also: liar)
Did the two glam rockers really 'hang out' like this?
Another very sinister development is that these are old allegations that surfaced at the time of his original conviction for images - y'know the one where the NOTW & Waxie Maxy colluded with a witness and got their knuckles rapped by the judge. They had no credibility then but, having arrested Mr Gadd for the imaginary Clunk Click orgy with the innocent Freddie Starr & innocent Jimmy Savile, this is all the could muster against a man who has been a tabloid hate figure for 15 years.

If was Glitter's house and Alvin was there I ask for a signed T shirt and LP.

Glitter's 'victim's are thick as shit.

I don't remember seeing a "sweet room" in Gary Glitters house when it was featured in the newspaper in the seventies. (With details of his very young girlfriend as if it was a good thing)

This has echoes of JK's case - the witness gets the dates wrong and all the details about the house where things are supposed to have happened are incorrect (some things took place in a basement, but the house has no basement):

I wonder if the CPS has deliberately coordinated the trials so that Glitter, Roy Harper & Fred Talbot are all in court at the same time?

I love the way the witness stated "everything I remember about the events I remember as clear as if it was yesterday." - but in every case where the facts can be verified, they have proved to be false.

False memory syndrome?

If the alleged victim here was purely after compensation then surely she would claim that she was raped rather than attempted rape.

Rape is easier to disprove and deny if there is no evidence. What evidence can there be for "attempted" rape?

Do you think so, Robbie? I am not sure. I think if I was going to make a false claim (not suggesting this is one) I would make it as simple as possible because the more you over-egg the pudding the more chance of slip up.

"His sister, who he said had posters of the entertainer plastered across her bedroom walls and ceiling, had been "ecstatic" at meeting him."

I do find it hard to believe when the biggest acts of 1977 were ABBA and David Soul that a 12 year old girl would have eyes only for Gary Glitter. By that time he was a bit of a has-been.

"The alleged victim’s brother said his sister had a gold jacket and a postcard from Gadd, both signed, while a family friend said in a statement that at one stage she had been snooping in the girl’s bedroom and had found dried “crispy” roses with a note that read: “Love, Gary”."

Nice family friend that goes snooping!!!

I'm sure she had Peter Frampton on the walls in 1977.
