Nobel Prize winner - and politician, for decades. Currently being revisited in great detail, by modern historians, because of the 50th aniversary of his death.
All his views/decisions, over such a long period, could not have been correct - and they were not.
Ireland - Black and Tan thugs/Kurds and poison gas/Hatred of Gandhi/Tonypandy Riots - Sidney Street siege; all come to mind. As well as taking bribes to ask questions in Parliament, most notably for oil companies!
But, over the next while, it will be interesting to see how we, and history has judged him...
