I'm not entirely sure that they are mad.

Madness implies a lack of logic and thought ... but I think these people are very cold and calculating and put a lot of thought into what they do.

Wicked, evil, barbaric, primeval .... yes, I will go along with all of those descriptions, but mad? No - these people know exactly what they are doing, which is what makes them even more dangerous.

I haven't seen this and I will do, but it disturbs me how manipulative and sometimes ill-informed Curtis is. On topics that I know in depth, he's been alarmingly simplistic, and yet his films seem to be treated with incredible reverence.

war is the ideal time for like minded sociopaths to come together.
Murderous psychopaths then have a 'legal' way to kill.

I am still of the mind that as horrendous as this murder is, it is little different to the US sending drones to kill whoever they like.

Let's not forget who started this mayhem in the ME without giving a thought to what they would unleash.

Good point JO; I wondered when the media went on about "burned alive" although (of course) they are FAR too responsible to show the actual video, that I'm amazed the media can be so openly and obviously manipulated. Terrorists realise (don't we all) that the only thing that matters to the media is a good story.
