Succulent pink lamb leg steaks with mint sauce, mashed potatoes with butter and cream and an avocado and cucumber salad with vinaigrette. Puligny Montrachet white wine and sparkling Oulmes water. Eton Mess with fresh raspberries and cream.
Roast leg of lamb, roast potatoes browned to a slight crisp in goose fat, own super-sweet corn, carrots, kale, broccoli, gravy, lots of mint sauce. Washed down with the house wine (Corbieres, at the moment). Everyone too full to consider a desert (6 adults + 1 grandchild).
If we do desert - my favourite is home-made creme brulee with a hint of orange.
