Terry Wogan lies on Live TV 10 Years, 4 Months ago

I love Terry dearly (at Eurovision, after I'd been charged but not yet tried, he greeted me as "my good friend, good luck") but the first guest ever on Wogan was NOT Elton but me! I was asked by Gordon Elsbury, who produced and directed the pilot, if I'd be the first guest as a favour. Somewhere the footage still exists.

Mistaken, not lying! The wogan series was a long time ago and people tend to confuse one person with another and mix up times and events.
