This seems to be the new word, replacing "grooming" which replaced "closure" as meaningless words contributing to the superficialisation of society. People blaming various ingredients for provoking extremism are not "apologists" for extremism. They are simply attempting to explain the causes so it can be countered. People who use words like "apologists" are probably assisting extremism. Saying only those who commit acts of terrorism are "to blame" are avoiding the reality; that there are various causes (the biggest of which is that young people tend to be attracted to violent yet dogmatic lifestyles).

"closure"..never really understood that word.

grooming equals seduction (my first sexual experience was a seduction by a female- never forgotten- never regretted)

Language is the new enemy and it's powerful.

And it's in the wrong hands

Yes language can indeed be the enemy but used correctly it can be our saviour.
