I simply cannot understand the desire to spend months in prison, from which there is no escape, on the sea (Titanic) with thousands of people you've never wanted to see or speak to. I do have friends who love to cruise. But the charm escapes me.

I recently researched prices for a cabin to the UK on a commercial ship and was so horrified I gave up the idea (much dearer than First Class airline seat)

I could handle a cruise that goes from one place to another ..such as London to New York as David Bowie travels (but not on the Titanic please)

Cabins now are so luxurious and you never need to see other passengers.

I see Britannia's cheapest cabin is a mere £700 a week - but (horror) they have no windows!
